Where does the “original price” on a deal come from?

The discount percentage on a deal is worked out simply: the difference between the original price and the discounted price, divided by the original price. So a $200 item now $150 shows as 25% off.

The original price is typically the store’s own “was” or RRP price as shown at the time we checked the deal. Because it comes from the store’s own data at a point in time, it may differ from what you see laterm stores adjust their “was” prices and RRPs, and other stores may list the same product at different reference prices.

If an original price looks wrong or inflated, please report the deal via our contact form so we can re-check it.

Prices, discounts and offer details can change without notice, so always confirm the final price on the store’s website before you buy.
